TSS Caspian - Electronic Warfare Frigate

Caspian Class - Electronic Warfare / Fleet Support Frigate

The Caspian-class frigate represents a new generation of Terran Military Fleet warship, designed around a simple principle: in modern warfare, the first battle is fought for information.

At 142 metres, the Caspian Class Frigate may be small by TMF standards, but its size belies its significance within the Terran Military Fleet. Rather than depending on heavy armour or capital-class weapons, this electronic warfare ship employs a comprehensive array of electronic warfare, signals-intelligence, and countermeasure systems. Its primary role is to detect hostile emissions, disrupt communications, degrade targeting networks, and interfere with the sensor picture that an enemy fleet relies upon.

When operating alongside larger combatants, the Caspian Class Frigate can enhance the fleet's sensor reach while simultaneously making friendly vessels harder to locate, classify, and engage. In combat, it functions both as an electronic shield and a force multiplier, providing vital targeting information across the battlegroup while attempting to deny the enemy the same advantage.

The class also maintains conventional defensive weapons, alongside the speed and manoeuvrability expected from a modern frigate, allowing it to operate independently when necessary. A standard complement of utility shuttles and a skiff supports personnel transfer, reconnaissance, and general operations away from the ship.

The Caspian Class Frigate was never intended to win a broadside against a cruiser or Linebreaker; its purpose is to ensure that when those ships open fire, the enemy is already fighting blind.
